The infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses infrared light to create heat. These saunas are sometimes also called far-infrared saunas and the “far” simply describes where the infrared waves fall on the light spectrum. The light waves from the infrared sauna penetrate deep (2-6 inches) into your body for a heating effect that allows more activation of your sweat glands compared to dry sauna.
How does it work?
The sauna that we use is made from the highest quality and sustainable materials ( organic hemp ). We selected this device because not all clients can endure the heat when the head is inside the sauna. The one we selected allows for you to lie down with your head out.
Infrared Sauna is comprised of two lightweight domes and the infrared mat that allows you to have infrared heat on both the back and front of your body at the same time. The electronic control system provides multiple heat level adjustments for your comfort.
Our infrared sauna include a Combination Carbon and Ceramic far infrared heaters. These heaters are truly the best for optimal results. The carbon allows the heaters to produce long wave far infrared heat. The long infrared wave will penetrate deeper into your body and give you the benefits of a true treatment. The patented organic ceramic compound that is added to the carbon give the heaters a very high infrared output. Traditional carbon heaters are weak, but not with Infrared sauna heaters. They produce in a high count exceptional quality infrared.
Why is important? ( benefits )
The lower temperatures in an infrared sauna stimulate a fat based sweat which eliminates toxins stored in fat as opposed to the high temperature sauna, which encourages a water based sweat.
The far infrared rays you get in an infrared sauna consist of similar wavelengths that are emitted naturally by the human body (yes, your body emits it’s own light radiation). This is one potential explanation of why many people feel so energetically rejuvenated and balanced from contact with far infrared waves in an infrared sauna like the one we havecompared to feeling “drained and dehydrated” after a dry sauna experience. Tests have shown that the energy output in an infrared sauna is so closely to your body’s own infrared radiation that you absorb as much as 93% of the far infrared waves that reach your skin.
There are many benefits of infrared sauna:
- Liver detoxification
- Improve mitochondrial health and energy production
- Enhance body detoxification
- Reduces the rates of heart and cardiovascular disease
- Better sleep
- Improved immune system
- Muscle gain and fat loss
- Arthritic and muscular pain relief
- Athletic recovery
- Encourages relaxation
- Combats aging and increases longevity
Who can use it?
Infrared Sauna use is not recommended for pregnant women, children under 12, those who cannot handle extreme hot temperature, those with hemophilia, fever, insensitivity to heat and those under the influence of alcohol.
What to expect
High intensity heat in a capsule, while you are lying down inside the infrared sauna for 30 minutes with you head completely out for your comfort. Some may not endure the high heat so temperatures can be adapted. Certain parts of the body may feel more heat then other parts of the body. We have an alternate infrared blanket for the one that are not comfortable under the capsule sauna. Following this treatment, we recommend a cold shower and the CurAge Oscillating Plate.
